Field Service Technician - Access/EWP

Our team in Wellington are looking for a Field Service Technician - Access/EWP who is trade-qualified or who has significant relevant experience to assess, repair and maintain our heavy equipment at a variety of sites around the Wellington region. For this role, it is important you also have previous work experience repairing and maintaining Access/EWP equipment. If you enjoy being out on the road and want to use and develop your existing skills and product knowledge, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do:

  • Repair and maintenance of a wide variety of access equipment, including: scissor lifts, cherry pickers and boom lifts etc.
  • Provide expert assistance to colleagues and customers in the workshop, our branches, and on customers sites
  • Carry our planned maintenance and repairs in the branch workshop

Job Details:

Ideally, we want to recruit suitable and available NZ workers. However, if we are unable to make such an appointment, we are an Accredited Employer with Immigration NZ (INZ) and would therefore be able to consider candidates who require a work visa. In line with our obligations under the job check process, the following information is provided:

  • 1 x Heavy Diesel Mechanic (321212) in New Plymouth (called a Field Service Technician)
  • The role is permanent full-time position working 40hrs per week (min/max)
  • Work will be allocated on a rostered basis - the branch is open Monday - Saturday
  • $38ph - $42ph based on the following:
    • Skills - experience working with machinery (specifically: diagnosis, repair and maintenance), a full driver licence, and basic computer skills
    • Qualification - a relevant trade qualification (e.g. machinery, engineering etc.)
    • Experience - at least 3yrs working with a variety of product types (e.g. petrol, diesel, small and heavy etc.), including at least 2yrs experience with access/EWP gear
