Mechanic Vacancies - Field Service, Heavy Diesel & Small Engine

Throughout our business we have dedicated mechanics and technicians who help ensure our hire plant is repaired and maintained to the highest standards.

Our Central region are currently looking for skilled and experienced people with backgrounds in either small engines or heavy machinery, including those who can work across both petrol and diesel plant.

In these roles you have the chance to work on a wide variety of equipment and have a real opportunity to grow your skills and knowledge. You'll also be joining a hard working and dedicated team to learn from and work with.

Our Workshop in Palmerston North is seeking a Small Engine Mechanic and a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.

We also have two Field Service Technicians needed - one in New Plymouth and one in Wellington; these positions come with a company-assigned vehicle. In these roles, it would be advantageous to also have experience in repairing Access equipment.

What you'll do:

  • Carry out repair and planned maintenance of a wide variety of equipment
  • Provide expert assistance to colleagues and customers

What you will need:

  • A relevant mechanical trade qualification
  • Full Class 1 Driver Licence (F & WTR advantageous but we can arrange these)
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information
  • High attention to detail and strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills and good record management techniques
