Within Hirepool we have a number of National specialised business units, one of which is our Portables division. They're responsible for the hiring of products such as Portaloos, industrial use fencing and barriers, road plates and luxury toilet units.
As Hub Manager - Central Portables you will be responsible for the operational excellence and financial performance of our branch in Feilding while also having management oversight of branch operations in the Central Region, covering the Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, Taranaki and Wellington. Locally you'll directly manage a small team of Sanitation Drivers as well as our Sanitation Driver in New Plymouth and be responsible for the Hawkes Bay team, based in Napier.
To ensure successful revenue generation you will be commercially minded, a strong negotiator and have superb customer relationship management skills with the ability to develop strong local networks. You will also need a track record of sales and business development as well as successfully delivering operational objectives.
What you will do:
- Ensure our customers receive the highest level of service delivery; always thinking proactively about ways to increase our effectiveness
- Help to build and maintain a collaborative and positive teamworking environment in your Hub, built on mutual respect, trust and personal accountability
- Proactively contribute to building a sales-led culture; leading by example and demonstrating a willingness to help out wherever required
- Ensure your branches operate efficiently to best serve our customers' needs and our assets are effectively utilised; selling strategically and increasing profitability
- Lead by example in all areas of health and safety; taking all opportunities to reinforce and improve the safety agenda
What you need to have:
- Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence (other classes/endorsements an advantage)
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage effectively with people at all levels
- Significant staff management experience including: leadership, business development, employee mentoring, and branch safety involvement
- Proven experience in business administration, transport regulations particularly those pertaining to Dangerous Goods
- Experience in efficient route-planning would be an advantage
