Performance Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Performance Analyst who, with their skilled knowledge and use of data and reports, can identify opportunities and partner with the business to achieve the successful utilisation and optimisation of Hirepool's significant fleet of assets.

You will also produce key performance reports and effectively evolve Hirepool's substantial and sophisticated data and reporting environment to the next level; being a key participant in their automation and modernisation.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you'll be part of a small and highly collaborative team, with the opportunity to build strong working relationship and make a real difference to our business.

Other accountabilities include:

  • Building dynamic dashboards for each of the key user groups in the business
  • Responsible for Standard Month end and Board reports on financial performance and our Daily revenue tracker (a key performance report)
  • Identifying opportunities and/or risks that exists and working with managers to ensure the business capitalises on opportunities in a timely manner
  • Ensuring the accuracy of key master data for compliance and price reporting

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Prior experience as an Analyst in a similar service-based environment
  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous (e.g. Commerce or Logistics)
  • Established or managed a modern Business Insights environment (either individually or as part of a team)
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment, engaging with variety of internal partners (e.g. Operations and Finance)
  • A drive to innovate and generate ideas to improve processes and outcomes, but also a willingness to learn and be perceptive to the commercial interests of the business
  • Being an expert user of Excel and having capability with tools such as Python and Power BI is necessary
  • Some experience writing simple SQL queries
  • Ability to determine and articulate the performance of a business based on its management accounts and associated reporting
