Spray Painter

We are looking for a Spray Painter to join our busy Auckland Support Workshop. This is a great opportunity for someone from an automotive background to gain experience on heavy equipment or someone from the heavy equipment sector looking to take what they know and apply it in a role they can make their own.

This role covers the end-to-end of the prep and paint process including panel beating as required and is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience working on a variety of heavy machinery.

Working as the only painter in a large workshop team, you will need to be good at managing your time and producing quality work in an acceptable timeframe.

What you'll do:

  • Carry out the preparation and painting of machinery and components as required
  • Basic sign writing, apply logo and safety decals
  • Keep accurate records of work done, stock used etc.
  • Work with our parts team and external suppliers to ensure products are fit for purpose and stock levels are maintained

What you need:

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Basic computer skills and good record management techniques
  • Whilst a trade qualification is preferable, relevant industry experience would be considered
  • Ability to work well in a team, with a 'can-do' attitude
