Yard Service/ Driver - Sanitation

Onehunga, New Zealand

  • Monday to Friday work (home every night)

Our Yard Service/Driver - Sanitation role plays an important part in the successful delivery of branch operations by ensuring our equipment is clean, organised and fit for purpose. You'll be required to carry out a variety of tasks which includes servicing and delivery of portaloos, general cleaning, equipment maintenance and keeping the yard tidy. As it's a busy branch with a team who are committed to ensuring we provide great customer service, we need someone with a can-do attitude who's keen to help out wherever possible to get things done.

What you'll do:

  • Helping out around the branch yard ensuring all our hire gear and vehicles are kept in a hygienic and tidy condition ready for hire and use
  • Operating a forklift, loading and unloading trucks in our yard
  • Washing portaloos in our yard with a water blaster
  • Delivering and picking up our portable toilets at a variety of customer sites
  • When required, being responsible for a daily run of toilet servicing, pumping out, replacing consumables and general tidying
  • When required, keeping accurate records, completing run sheets of jobs done and any site access issues
  • When driving a sanitation truck, ensuring the requisite compliance and maintenance checks are met or carried out

What you need:

  • Ideally a Full Class 2 Driver Licence (experienced Class 1 drivers will also be considered and we are happy to assist the right candidate in obtaining their Class 2 licence)
  • Great if you have F and DG endorsements but we can help you obtain these
  • Ability to work well in a team, with a 'can-do' attitude
  • A good work ethic, reliability and great customer service
  • Good time management skills
