We are looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Workshop Supervisor, overseeing repairs and maintenance of our hire fleet for Northern Auckland and Northland.

In this role you will will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Silverdale workshop as well as supervising our Whangarei-based Mechanics and Technicians. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to join a business where they can really make a difference and progress their career.

As the successful candidate, you will also be a key member of the management structure reporting to the Regional Asset Manager and leading a dedicated team of trades people.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the workshop and remote field service teams, planning and organising their workload to ensure KPI's are met and maximum fleet up time is achieved
  • Provide expert assistance to your team and our customers, in the workshop, at our branches, and on customers sites
  • Assess equipment condition and advise the Regional Asset Manager on ‘repair or replace' decision making
  • Lead a culture that aligns with Hirepool's values and business strategy.
  • Champion Health and Safety in the workshop and the business as a whole

What you'll need:

  • Relevant trade qualification, preferably in Heavy Automotive Engineering
  • Strong product knowledge in the Earthmoving & Construction sectors
  • Previous line management experience is highly advantageous but not essential for the right person
  • Full Class 1 Driver Licence (other classes and Endorsements advantageous)
  • A can-do attitude, and a drive to learn and grow your career
  • Intermediate computer skills
