Customer/Service Person - Part-Time 9hrs (Saturday)

Rotorua, New Zealand

Reference: 5677673

Our Rotorua team are looking for a part-time Customer/Service Person with either an understanding of or previous experience working with tools and machinery.

Your role will be to both help ensure our equipment is fit for hire and provide advice and support to customers over the phone and in-branch on what equipment is right for their project. We don't expect you to know everything on Day One - we'll ensure you receive all the training you need to be confident on our equipment and processes.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has a can-do attitude, is open to learning and can build positive ongoing customer relationships. It's also a small branch so you need to be prepared to help out the team whenever required.

What you'll do:

  • Provide hire plant advice and support to customers from a variety of industries
  • Carrying out all service checks in line with company safety policies
  • Carefully instructing customers on the safe use of our equipment

What you need:

  • Be able to work Saturdays
  • Learners or Restricted Licence
  • Basic computer skills
  • Willingness to be trained on our internal point of sale computer system

Who we are:

Hirepool was established in 1955 and over that time we've grown to become the national leader in the hire industry. Our equipment ranges from lawnmowers to 30-tonne excavators, portable toilets to 40metre marquees, cars to 10-tonne trucks.

It means we provide our services to a really diverse customer base; everyone from big names in infrastructure and construction to independent contractors and first-time DIY-ers all the way from Whangarei to Invercargill.

Please be assured that appropriate adjustments to our recruitment processes have been made to account for all Covid Alert Levels. We understand ongoing restrictions may impact exact start dates and can be flexible to account for individual situations.
