Assistant Branch Manager - Portables
Our Portables business is a national specialised hire business within Hirepool, specialised with products such as Portaloos, industrial use fencing and barriers, road plates and luxury toilet units. Within our National Portables branch network, this Tauranga-based branch supports a wide and varied customer base from small building firms through to global infrastructure businesses and everyone in between.
As Assistant Branch Manager your role is to ensure our drivers and our yard service team are working safely, efficiently and effectively to best meet our service delivery commitments to our customers. You'll help ensure customer contracts are fulfilled as requested and assist in following up any queries which may arise. Ideally, we're after someone with high-level customer relationship management skills and proven line management experience who is also keen on contributing to the growth of the Portables division in the local area.
What you'll do:
- Successfully oversee the coordination and distribution of work
- Manage the storage, utilisation, maintenance and repair of the Portables hire fleet
- Lead the team - building on the strong team culture
- Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for our customers and people
- Travel to large events and oversee the install, service and collection of the equipment

What you need:
- Class 2 Drivers Licence Essential (ideally F and DG endorsements but we can arrange for the right candidate)
- Good problem-solving skills
- Previous supervisory/management experience
- Ability to communicate well with people at all levels
- Event management experience an advantage
